Bring the complete picture
Collect the biopsy report, pathology slides or blocks if available, scan films or digital images with reports, previous operation notes, discharge summaries, current medicines and recent blood tests. A clear timeline of symptoms and treatment is helpful.
Write down your questions
Useful questions include: What is the exact diagnosis and stage? Is surgery recommended? What are the alternatives? Could treatment affect speech, swallowing or appearance? Will reconstruction or rehabilitation be needed? What follow-up is expected?
A second opinion is a review
A second opinion reviews the same authoritative evidence—pathology, scans, examination and prior treatment plan. The goal is clarity. The reviewing team may agree with the existing plan, refine it or explain another reasonable option.
